Scouting was started in 1907 by Lord Robert Baden-Powell. His vision was to create a better world.  Led by the Troop Scouter, Scouts is aimed at young people, age 11 - 18, and combines adventure with solid values that inspire you to leave the world a little better than you found it.

The Scout journey

Scouts are guided by the Scout Journey. This adventure trail includes a wide range of activities such as hiking, camping, abseiling, swimming, survival skills, first aid or even flying! Scouting is an awesome and creative way to have fun, meet new people and active outdoors while exploring the world around you!

With over a hundred years of experience in the scouting world, 1st Muizenberg is well established as one of the greatest and oldest scouting troops in Southern Africa. Join us on our quest for adventure as we grow from strength to strength, with the leaders of tomorrow at the helm.
